Title:   Amphora: West Slope

Description:   Fragmentary. Restored in plaster. Ring foot, squattish body, concave high neck flaring at the lip. Twisted vertical handles with moulded masks at their bases. Incised ring above foot. On shoulder between incised grooves, diminishing rectangles and checkerboard pattern in terracotta paint and white; on neck, front and back, necklaces with pendents in terracotta paint and white.
Rather metallic black glaze.
Context:   Cistern. Lower, Hellenistic fill.
