Description: | Similar in shape to P 6297 ff. Incised groove below handle zone. In handle zone, front and back, horizontal ivy pattern between white bands; the main stem white, the leaf-stems incised, the leaves in thin clay paint; no berries. A double groove run lightly over the glaze around the body below the handles. Dull black glaze fired red inside. Restored in plaster. ADDENDA P 6297: Moulded ring foot, flaring. High narrow convex-concave body. Two vertical strap handles with leaf thumb-rests. | |
