Title:   Black Glaze Lagynos
ΤΙΤΛΟΣ:   Μελαμβαφής λάγυνος 175 - 160 π.Χ.

Description:   Base, neck and most of one side of body preserved. Handle and much of walls restored in plaster. Heavy flaring ring foot, grooved; sides very flaring; shoulder wide and at a sharp angle to the walls; at either side of neck, close to top, a small knob; plain lip, with a deep groove just below the edge; groove around base of neck.
Pinkish-buff clay. Black glaze outside, somewhat peeled; dull red paint or varnish inside.
ADDENDA Additional fragments excavated in continuation of same fill, 22 July 1950, giving more of body, shoulder and part of handle.
ΠΕΡΙΓΡΑΦΗ:   Μελαμβαφής λάγυνος. Λείπουν θραύσματα από τη βάση, το λαιμό και το σώμα του αγγείου. Αποκατεστημένος με γύψο.
