Title:   Red Figure Lekanis Lid Fragment

Description:   Downturned rim decorated with egg and dot. Underside glazed. On the top, a reserved band near the center. On the decorated zone, bordered above and below by a single reserved line, a swan or goose, right, fighting a large feline. In the field between the two, a volute plant; underneath the panther, a stone(?). Relief contour for the panther's left ear only. The glaze for the details of fur and feathers runs from black to brown.
Firm black glaze; careful work.
