Description: | Mended from many pieces. Upper half only preserved. Broad trefoil mouth. Handle roughly triangular in section. Panel in front decorated in imitation red-figure; i.e. with designs in added color. Nike flying right, looking back, holding a palmette in her outstretched left hand. Panel formed by two lines (one below). Drawing done first in white, then red added on top. No inner detail. Good black glaze, slightly metallic. Cf. Haspels (1936), pl. 51, 3. | |
