Title:   Kantharos: West Slope

Description:   Mended from many fragments; about one-third of the body, two-thirds of the rim and one handle missing; restored in plaster. Low moulded base, with grooves filled with miltos; deep body; vertical band handles.
Better preserved side decorated with pendent garland in thick clay-colored paint; vestige on other side indicates a variation of pattern; on the preserved handle, a heart-shaped thumb-rest.
Firm brownish-black glaze inside and out.
Context:   Cistern, south chamber.
