Title:   Stele Fragments with Reliefs

Description:   Two non-joining fragments of a dedicatory stele with reliefs on either side.
Both fragments preserve part of the gable-like crowning molding, which carries on both of its sloped upper surfaces a row of triangulated ridges.
Fragment a) preserves some of the upper part of the left (or right) edge.
Each fragment carries on the obverse in the upper left-hand corner, in low relief, part of the head of a horse, to right. On the reverse of each, a figure in higher relief, now chipped off, probably a hero, reclining.
Pentelic marble.
Context:   Byzantine fill.
