Title:   Head of Female Figure from Relief

Description:   Head with veil, about half life-size. Part of original back surface, rough-picked, with large strokes, preserved. Head split off at base of neck. Features and part of veil obliterated, and fragment broken away from background by crude hacking.
Head turned slightly to own right; hair parted in center; veil over back of head, falls straight on left side; on right, billows out as if to shoulder. Marble very quartzy.
Pentelic marble.
