Title:   Portrait Head of Female Figure
Category:   Sculpture
Description:   The back of the head was apparently attached separately as the head is cut off in a line running obliquely from a point directly above the ears to one on the back of the neck. There is a cutting for attachment just below the top of the head (ca. 0.04m. deep). The nose is missing and the face considerable battered; everything below the chin is broken away. The woman has a round, expressionless, flatly modeled face. Her eyes, in which the iris and the pupils are incised, are turned up and to the left. Her hair is parted in the middle and drawn down in waves on either side so as partly to cover her ears. The ears are pierced; behind them on either side is a small irregular cutting, possibly intended for the attachment of some ornament on the coiffure.
