Title:   Head Fragment of Youthful Female Figure
Category:   Sculpture
Description:   Only the front half of the head remain, the hair bound with a fillet passing twice round the head. The hair is heavily weathered.
Pentelic marble.
Cf. the statue S 312, Nike. A fragment from the lower part of another head, very similar to this one, also exists, which actually joins to the Nike, cf. notebook Η' p. 1034.
Notes:   Ca. 0.20m. above top of preserved foundation block of Stoa
Context:   In loose filling, ca. 0.20m. above top of preserved foundation block of Stoa, to the west. Found lying face up, the top of the head toward S.E.
28/ΞΔ lies just above the north foundation of the foot of the "Royal Stoa".
