Title:   Statuette Fragment: Aphrodite

Description:   Draped female figure preserved from waist to ankles.
She wears a chiton, which clings closely to her. Around the lower part of her body she has thrown her heavy himation of which one end is tossed over her left arm, and the other is held up in front by her left hand, which has very long thing fingers. The himation falls to the ground behind her legs in heavy folds. Her weight is on her left leg, with the right slightly bent at the knee.
Pentelic marble.
