Title:   Portrait Bust of Male Figure

Description:   Nose broken away, a deep score in the forehead; surface much rubbed. Eyes, mouth, chin and ears damaged.
Portrait of a man of mature years; the head turned slightly to the left, the hair close-cut and retreating from the brows.
Careful work; the surface smooth polished but not glossy. Drill holes at inner corners of eyes and at corners of mouth.
Fine grained Parian marble.
Conservation Status:   Finished
Context:   Well; brown-glaze Byzantine context.
