Description: | A block of marble, rough hewn on the sides, smoothed with a claw (?) on top. The interior has been hollowed in a rectangle 0.635x0.42m., rounded at the corners 0.23m. deep, deepening toward center. Inside surface is covered with marks of a sharp point. Lid looks like a millstone. It is a disc, rough hewn around edge and smoothed on the visible broad surface with the same claw (?) used on top of the sarcophagos. Pentelic marble. | |
