Description:   Slightly less than half of circular mold preserved for a medallion-head of Herakles, seen in front view.
Male head with curling hair and beard and wearing lion-skin cap.
Extremely careful work.
Pink to grayish-buff clay.
ADDENDA, E. R. Williams: The side of the head and the absence of curvature suggest the the original metal relief belonged to the center of a handle for a volute krater.
Context:   Broken bedrock fill, second layer.
