Description: | Three joining fragments preserve rather less than half of a circular mold with low rim: a mold for plaque. Athena Parthenos, her helmet with crest, sphinx, pegasi and cheek pieces and the hair at the back of her head preserved, the face missing. Around the outer rdge of the medallion a band ca. 0.02 wide with herringbone decoration above the helmet; then an inscription only part of which is preserved: H ΑΘΗΝ | |
