Title:   Chariot and Charioteer Figurine
ΤΙΤΛΟΣ:   Τμήμα πήλινου ομοιώματος άρματος με ηνίοχο

Description:   The chariot, with flat floor and straight walls front and sides, rests on a rectangular base.
The base is broken along one side; on the preserved side it is pierced by two small holes. The pole broken off. No trace of wheels. On the outer face of the chariot sides, black glaze with two preserved lines upper and lower edges.
The charioteer stands upright, leaning slightly forward, his arms extended to hold the reins, his hands pierced so that they may pass through. He wears a short sleeved, short-legged jerkin, black in front, with vertical stripes at the sides, zigzags on the back, and short parallel strokes across shoulders and for sleeves. The object at the back of his head may be his helmet plume.
The head and neck of one of the horses is preserved, his eye pierced through, ornamented with bands and slanting strokes.
Dull black glaze.
Grayish clay.
ADDENDA: The wheel fragment (T 794) belongs to this chariot (?)
