Description: | First interpretation: woman 's head in relief; of good period and style. Top and back edge finished; broken below and to left. There never was more than a head: the neck is not modelled. Moulded. Unglazed. Meant to be affixed behinda mask, or protome (?) Fine highly micaceous brownish-buff clay; with grayish core. Another fragment, found later and joining to the left, connects this piece with the similar head numbered T 786. There are neatly finished holes, between each pair of heads, at the level of the neck. Now joined to the left of T 786. | |
