Description:   Top slope of the context is slight down to the N. The soil color is light reddish brown. The soil compaction is loose. The soil is poorly sorted. It is coarse sand.
Notes:   Excavation of top soil in the southern trench in Glauke West. Loose reddish brown soil covered the entire area, which includes three trees. This deposit was uniform throughout in its soil type and cinlusions. It was excavated in two paswses across the entire area. Excavation was subdiviced into two passes in order to be certain that no new contexts were missed. A small part of the deposit included a lens with more cobbles near the southernmost tree. One coin was found in the fill but excavated and removed before it could be recorded (an approximate position is recorded on the drawing). At the end of the basekt a narrow cut runs N-S lengthwise through the trench for modern laying of a lead pipe for the electrical wiring of the ticket booth. Same top soil continues into trench, therefore continue with same. See Cut 2. A second narrower trench along the east scarp for computer set up south of trench, dug in 2008, will be left undug since trench may be moved slightly to west.
