Stratum:   Well south of colonnade. Stratum below 1.80 m below surface.
    Miniature Deposit. Oblong groove or rock-cutting north and west of temple. Average of .35 m in depth.
Notes:   NB122 P196: Well [S 29], till depth of 1.80 m mainly Roman Arr. or pseudo Arr. ware. At this depth an embranchment which ends in the watertunnel O (cf. p. 171). Below this, mainly Greek frgs. and part of limbs. It is not certain that the embranchment was open in Roman times, although it is possible.
    NB122 P167: [A-RR 36] The rock cutting noted yesterday averages .35m in depth, and extends W 3.25 m; and the whole area is closely filled with sherds and miniature vases and figurines, as yesterday (N-E well). Also found in this deposit, right toe from votive foot (De Waele no. 58), and another frag. perhaps from arm (DW no 59). 2 baskets of sherds, and 2 boxes of vases, figurines, etc., collected.
