I removed Wall #1 which was discovered on April 17 in fill #1 of that day at ΠΑ-ΠΒ/96-100, running NNE-SSW with an upper level +86.464 and a lower level +85.814. Its width varies from .60 to .49. It is constructed of uncoursed rubble with some tile and with packed dirt in the joints. (See also p. 15). This wall is shown from the NE in photograph 2 (Neg. 61-5-3; Ph. Vol. 18, p. 26). Basket #1 was use [sic] for finds from within Wall #1. [Finds stamp.]
In this fill was discovered a flat piece of bronze and a Greek architectural fragment with remains of stucco and red paint.
