Notes: | April 19 (p. 23) Since the area between Wall #3 (destroyed) and Wall F-2 at ΠΓ-ΠΣΤ/103 appeared to be a single room, I added to Section G area ΠΓ-ΠΣΤ/100-103. I began excavating this room at level +86.054 with Basket #4. [AG-this should correspond to Room #4, judging from the sketch on p. 18] [Finds stamp.] This Basket was also used for excavating the area north of Wall #3 (destroyed) when its level +85.039 was reached. [AG-this should correspond to Room #5, judging from the sketch on p. 18.] In this fill a piece of iron ornament was found at ΠΣΤ/101 and a coin at ΠΔ/100 [AG-"not a coin" noted at stamp]. Also in this fill appeared Wall #7 at ΠΔ-ΠΕ/100-102 running N-S, and Wall #8 at ΠΓ-ΠΣΤ/102-103, running E-W along the N face of Wall F-2. Wall #9 at ΠΣΤ/101 runs N-S, its S end bonded into #8. April 20 (p. 26) In area ΠΗ-ΠΔ/100-102 we continued with Basket #4 of April 19. April 20 (p. 29) In the area east of Wall #5-#6, where we continued with Basket #4 of April 19, a piece of bronze jewelry, possibly a pendant, was found at ΠΕ/100. [AG-no finds stamp.] April 20 (p. 30) When Basket #4 of April 19 was filled, we changed to Basket #5. | |
