Notes:   April 20 (p. 27-28)
We destroyed Wall #5-#6, which is shown from the south in photograph 4 (Neg. 61-5-5; Ph. Vol. 18, p. 26). Wall #5 was discovered on April 18 in fill #4 of that day at ΠΓ-ΠΔ/101-99 and Wall #6 on April 18 in fill #5 of that day at ΠΔ/98-99. Both walls appeared to be a continuous wall running straight NNW-SSE from the south edge of the excavation at 101 to the north scarp at 98, with an upper level +86.194 and a lower level +85.184, where we found a hard strosis. On the west face the foundation level begins at approx. +85.634. The wall is straight, built of uncoursed rubble with little tile, if any, and with a great deal of dirt. Wall #5-#6 appears to be earlier than Wall #3 which cuts across its middle running E-W. Basket #1 was used from the fill from within the wall.
