Notes:   April 20 (p. 30-31)
When Basket #4 of April 19 was filled, we changed to Basket #5. [Finds stamp.]
Toward the end of the day we began digging the modern fill to the north below the scarp, where 2 coins were found (1961-190, 1961-191) [AG-no basket # is given for this operation, and I am not sure the coins are to be associated with this context, so the information is put here for want of a better place.]
In the fill of Basket #5 we uncovered Wall #12 running N-S at ΠΗ/100 [AG-sketch on p. 40 seems to contradict the coordinates given here]. We struck strosis +84.391 at 100-101/ΠΗ-ΠΕ; Strosis +85.244 (highest point-surface very irregular) ΠΗ-ΠΖ/100; Strosis +85.134 (fallen tile and mudbrick) at ΠΣΤ-ΠΕ/100; Strosis +85.459 (roughly triangular with apex toward the east) at ΠΣΤ-ΠΔ/100-98.
April 21 (p. 32)
In area 101-98/ΠΗ-ΠΕ we cleaned out the remainder of soft fill, continuing with Basket #5 of April 20. [Finds stamp.]
One coin was found in this fill.
