Notes: | April 29 (p. 61) At +85.439 we struck another strosis which is divided by a gap running E-W at ΟΖ-ΟΘ/99, which widens out under the surface. Using Basket #3 we dug through this strosis. [Finds stamp.] The gap widened and we struck soft fill over the whole area of 99-98/ΟΖ-ΟΘ. Continuing with Basket #3 we extended our excavation across the trench of Wall #13 to ΠΑ, where the eastern face of Wall #2 had been. The division continued along line 99 through strosis #15, apparently forming the pillaged wall trench of Wall #11. Using Basket #3 we began removing all this fill. May 2 (p. 64) We removed the rest of the fill from the pillaged trench of Wall #1, continuing with Basket #3 of April 29. | |
