Notes: | G V Ca. 1.10-1.45 in depth. Loose brownish soil. Very few fragments. All rather coarse - kind of Urfinis. [p. 347] G V 1.05-1.30 (and 1.00-1.45) Plain black Urfirnis is common 45 sherds. Thin black and black brown paint. Plain red 7 sherds Patterned Urfirnis. One sherd lustrous brown red on buff [sketch of sherd with design] [Tzonou-Herbst= Blegen 1921, p. 9, fig. 9, no. 19, patterned ware, EH period, group C. Stored in basement drawer.] Light on Dark. 1 sherd white lines on red. Plain buff surface about as numerous as Urfirnis. Some of these sherds are fine and well burnished. 25 unpolished 13 polished. Black polished a dozen sherds or more, fairly coarse. 1 small sherd like imitation Minyan with incised dec. Coarse sherds 20 or 25 some painted (Urfirnis). One has raised rope band with incisions. (Mycenaean 1 sherd?) [MN: 125 / 323] [Tzonou-Herbst= Could the imitation Minyan with incised decoration be EH III fine gray burnished?] [NB 85, p. 60, CWB:] G V 1.00-1.45 (1.05-1.30) Urfirnis Red surfaced 7 sherds Black surfaced 45 sherds Patterened lustrous red on buff 1 sherd cream yellow on red 1 sherd Plain buff 25 unpolished 13 polished and good fabric Black polished 21 sherds mostly rather coarse.
