Notes:   G VI 1.45-1.75 brownish earth. More pottery. Urfirnis type. Some of finer quality but most rather coarse. At 1.65 several curious cylinders of clay were found 0.047 m diam. Broken in getting out but more than 0.08 long. Made of greenish grey clay and fairly coarse. I don’t know their purpose.

G VI 1.45-1.75 (and 1.30-1.75)
Urfirnis Red surfaced 11 small pieces much like preceding. Two small sherds are interesting as showing (oh, the two join) difference between unglazed and glazed surface. Inside of this pot was only varnished ca 0.015 below the rim.
Black surfaced 22 sherds incl. frag. of rim of large pithos. Some of these sherds have almost a real black glaze. Others have only a thin varnish. Early good fabric.
Brown One fine sherd (of 7 pieces) with polished light brown glaze now flaking off. Good thin fabric. Incisions around neck.
Plain buff 25 sherds some polished
Black polished fairly coarse 10 sherds
Shapes: spouted jug, spout preserved.
Two frags. of bases both raised [drawing of base]
