[MN= Urfirnis]
[James and Nakassis= margin note Urfirnis applies to first two categories, black surfaced and red surfaced]
Black surfaced. 20 sherds. These might be Urfirnis really for all have some paint I think. Some are typical sketo black Urfirnis. Others have harder looking more polished surface.
Shapes small deepish bowls. Handle of a jug with narrow neck.
Red surfaced. 30 sherds. These too are prob Urfirnis all. Mostly rather dull finish but some are highly polished.
Shapes Schnabelkanne (spout preserved) bowl with incurving rim. Bottoms with and without foot.
Sketo yellow-buff. 13 sherds unpainted. Rim of flattish bowl. 2 flat (ribbon) handles fairly coarse.
Obsidian 5 bits.

[James and Nakassis= Blegen is counting the fineware sherds in the margin with total at bottom of page; the first number 52 is perhaps 1 short of real total]
