Notes: | P X 2.05-2.25. Very poor coarse sherds. Look like Urfirnis. [p. 363] P X 2.05-2.25 Mostly coarse ware and this is largely Urfirnis i.e. has thin coat of Urf. wash. A few sherds of better Urfirnis chiefly black. Black polished 10 or 12 sherds Shapes. Low flat Plain medium depth bowls Small pot. Small urn shape wide mouth ca 0.098 high and about 0.125 in diam. in widest part. No base. Bottom merely flattened. I think the surface is covered with an Urfirnis slip. [sketch of pot and handle detail] Rather coarse thick fabric color brown-black No real handles. Projections pierced with 2 suspension holes. 2 similar holes in lip above handle. CP 133 | |
