Notes: | P XVII 3.60-4.00. There is a very thick layer of stone here roughly laid to form a heavy pavement. Apparently two or three courses. Primitive Urfirnis potsherds not very numerous. However - also some primitive looking sherds of local clay. One that looks suspiciously like Mattmalerei. I can’t guarantee that it was found in this level. [p. 365] P XVII 3.60-4.00 Urfirnis More than 20 sherds with fairly thick coat - not merely a wash almost a glaze. But not of extremely good quality. Now flaking off. These are black. [MN: Black] Ca. 1 dozen sherds with red coat also better than a wash.[MN: Red] A few coarse sherds of pithoi, etc. | |
