Notes:   Basket 92 is an area of reddish soil due east of wall 1909 and of the archaic cutting, which it borders on the east and by which it is cut. It lies below B84 and follows the line of B84 but extends under B83 slightly at the S end. It meets B89 on the west at a clear border. It is a brownish red silty clay with 10% pebbles which are angular and subrounded and with rare cobbles and occasional lumps of clay. The soil was loosely packed and dug with a small pick. This basket was excavated in order to determine whether it was the same soil as the reddish soil that began to appear mixed with the soil of B90 on its NW side. After excavation it was found that this soil looked similar initially but was not the same as B90.
