| Stratum: | Fill in area north of wall 215. Dark reddish-brown loose soil, poorly sorted, with 30% inclusions, ranging from 15-20 cm cobbles to 5 cm coarse pebbles. | |
| Notes: | There is some tile and some whitish-chalky chunks/inclusions (plaster). As we move towards the SE, we notice fewer inclusions in the corner so we are NOT including this area (E: 406,20-406,80/N 970,9 - 971,45) in Basket 13. We are also NOT including the area of Basket 12 in this Basket 13. Basket 13 surrounds the depression and area left by basket 12. We are stopping Basket 13 at a soil change. The soil is much finer, a redder reddish-brown color, poorly sorted with 5% inclusions (N of the depressions and extending W). South of this area is a redder reddish-brown, poorly sorted area with fewer inclusions. Finds include glass, charcoal, iron, and a lamp fragment. | |
