Corinth Basket: NB976 B19 P49
Collection:   Corinth
Type:   Basket
Name:   NB976 B19 P49
Area:   Panaghia north
Category:   Basket/zembil
Notebook:   976
Context:   19
Page:   49
Date:   2006/05/03
Stratum:   fill N of wall 215; reddish-brown loose soil with 15% inclusions, poorly sorted
Notes:   Basket 19 is the removal of fill and is a continuation/another pass of the area excavated as basket 18. The redder soil that we thought we were coming upon turned out to be isolated patches among the reddish-brown soil, thus it seems to be the same soil as basket 18. Finds include tile, painted plaster, bone, glass and iron in smaller quantities than the previous basket (B18). 3 large tiles found on W side (1 almost complete). We are stopping basket 19 because we are coming upon soil with fewer inclusions ca. 5%.
