Stratum: | Fill from SE of trench - Medium brownish brown compact sandy silt with 2-5 % tiles, pebbles and cobbles
Notes: | This basket levels the SE patch which at first seemed to be a grey soil. The soil was dried from exposure to elements for year and was actually the same as the surrounding fill. Thus the basket was used to remove the higher mounds at the eastern half of the trench. Another block surfaced in the juncture of walls 290 and 291. Near the N edge was a rim sherd, inward thickened, black glazed. Coin 1: (1/2 coin) 414.26 E, 972.31, 91.71 - right on top of lower edge of block. A few large tile pieces E of southernmost block of wall 290 - not saved. Basket was stopped to clean area in SW corner of trench. Points after B28: 414.29 E, 973.27 N, 91.64 H 414.32 E, 973.11 N, 91.73 H (stone) 413.31 E, 971.66 N, 91.65 H 414.86 E, 970. 03 N, 91.69 H
