Stratum:   Fill south of wall 291 and E of 412,5 E - medium brown sandy silt compact with 5% inclusions pebbles, cobbles
Notes:   We continued the passes across the E half of the trench. The E of the trench we found a lot of plaster again as well as several large tile pieces. A very nice large pithos sherd surfaced just south of wall 290. It's black, has raised decoration: three raised lines, a wave, and three raised lines. There are tile pieces around it.
The soil seems softer in the line of the wall 290. So we stopped the basket without digging all the was to 415E except to trace a turn in the wall (maybe).
The pithos sherd and the tiles are on a level in a greyish soil, so maybe a leveling surface between the stones from which another stone was taken or robbed.
