Stratum:   cistern fill with roof tile fragments
Notes:   B 65 is the removal of a layer of fill in the cistern that has a very large percentage of roof tile fragments. The matrix of B67 is very similar, if not identical to that of B65. The deposit extends eastward underneath the support beam. Because the beam is fractured in the center, the rest of the deposit has been left in place until the beam can be braced. In the NW corner of the support beam and the N wall of the cistern, a deposit of lighter soil with carbon and white clay inclusions was uncovered. B67 was stopped inorder to evaluate the relationship between these strata.
