Stratum:   Colluvial wash between Walls 215 and 260. The stratum is dark/medium reddish brown with 40% pebbles and 20% cobbles, compact.
Notes:   B 39 is the removal of another layer of colluvium in order to look for Geometric burials and further define the alluvium/river bed. After taking it down a little, we did define the alluvium south against Wall 260, but we also determined that there is a thin strip of colluvium up against the west edge of Pit 2005-01, which is not sandy like the rest of the colluvium and a thin layer between the alluvium and Wall 215, which is also over top of what might be the foundation for a wall running E-W just south of Wall 215. We stopped removing B 39 when the soil became darker. All of these layers are present on the top plan. See pg. 64 for top plan.
