Name:   NB980 B20 P59
Area:   Panaghia north
Category:   Basket/zembil

Context:   20

Date:   2006/05/22
Stratum:   Fill, light brownish brown, very soft, 10% fine-medium pebbles, poorly sorted silty sand.
Notes:   At this point all exposed burials have been removed and, after several uneventful passes in B18, the earth seems consistant throughout the trench, Thus, B20 encompasses the entire trench, with the depressed areas of GR2006-01, GR2006-02, GR2006-05, GR2001-18, GR2001-20, and B15 excepted. In the SE corner, a whiter, more compact soil with cobblestones was revealed, which was different than the fill in the remaining area in the trench. Since B20 was becoming deep, the basket was ended, but the fill may not be completely ended. It should be noted that by the final pass of B20, much less bone was found in comparison to what turned up at higher eleveations in the same basket. Also, in the SE corner, the bottom of B20 partially exposed a large (.45 m.) stone with several cobblestones and a large tile fragment in its immediate vicinity.
