Corinth Basket: NB980 B84 P173
Collection:   Corinth
Type:   Basket
Name:   NB980 B84 P173
Area:   Panaghia north
Category:   Basket/zembil
Notebook:   980
Context:   84
Page:   173
Date:   2006/06/21
Stratum:   light brownish brown, compact, 10-20% fine-medium pebbles, 2% cobbles, poorly sorted coarse sand
Notes:   B84 is the digging of a broad pass between Wall 296 and various features to the E in order to better understand the extent of the soft rocky earth dug in B83. At the bottom of the basket, the earth is softer but still fairly rocky. It seems to be the same as the soft rocky earth into which the tile feature was cut and which was excavated in B83 (the actual cut was probably missed). The remainder of the block partially revealed in B63 has been uncovered; it is approx. 1.25 m. in length and extends to the W edge of the N cut. Part of another large stone or block protrudes from the earth just to the N of this block.
