Notes:   The matrix of this basket is blackish brown to orangey brown sandy silt with 10-15% pebble inclusions. B21 is the removal of a deposit defined by the E scarp @ ca. 323.5 E, the N edge of W265 to the S and a deposit of harder, more compact uniform orange pebbly to the N and the W. The deposit of B21 appears to be a disturbance of the orange pebbly layer, incorporating veins of blacker soil, the deposit likely corresponds to NB978 B , where the black soil was first detected and seems to continue E into the scarp. The basket came down on a layer that was uniformily orange, though the pebble inclusions are slightly larger than those of the orange pebbly layer refered to above.
