Notes:   Pass to remove part of the martyr around the well head/manhole cover in the hopes of defining the edge of pit 2006-4. The basket revealed the edge of the pit and suggested that it cuts the fill around the well head. This pass revealed some some fragments of painted wall plaster near the edge of the well head/manhole cover. We also uncovered a fair amount of charcoal and pottery. We uncovered fragments of bronze and glass as well as an intact base of a glass vessel.
