Stratum:   Rubble construction of drain as it turns west north of pool. Soil is light whitish brown sandy clay, 70% pebbles, large cobbles/stones, weakly cemented.
Notes:   B 11 is the removal of stones atop the castellum drain as it turns sharply west after leaving the pool area. In order to properly excavate the floors found in B 10 and cut into by the construction of this feature, this basket and the baulk of the drain trench must be removed first. Large chunks of cement likely used in construction came up. A nicely faced stone wall is seen in the drain below. The cement is lime-based with early or pebbly grout mixed in; the rocks above the drain were cemented in with this lime cement. The drain is made of well worked limestone blocks of significant size which turn a well-constructed rounded corner. At the corner, the limestone orthostates are capped with cemented large stone marble (the southern upside down V shaped blocks do not continue), and to the west with large blocks laid atop the drain channel. Found t.c. figurine. See top plan pag. 21.
