Stratum:		Clay fill on edge of cut of castellum drain. Light whitish brown sandy clay 40% pebbles, less than 5% cobbles, mostly compact.
Notes:		B17 is a harder, more claylike area just north of the cut for the castellum drain. The basket's northern edge does not appear to be a visible cut, but rather a subtle change in the soil texture [we later conclude this is the same fill as B19]. Top plan pg. 34.
