Stratum:   Fill, harder than B17 but likely the same context, from B17 to W215. Light reddish brown, 30% pebbles, 40% cobbles, compact.
Notes:   B19 is the layer of fill to the northern end of the area between the castellum drain and W215. It seemed harder than B17 but the soil appears very similar. The clay to the west of our trench which we thought might be a floor can followed at points, but is very irregular and appears more like a massive lump than a floor at this point. After a short time, however, the clay reappears as a good floor should. I was obviously impatient with my last note. Found miniature oinochoe, lekythos. See top plan pg. 37.
