Stratum:   Fill associated with movement of stone for the tile-lined pool.Dark reddish brown; fine grained loose; 5-10% inclusions, poorly sorted, medium pebbles; clayey sand.
Notes:   Basket 12 continued to remove the loose dark soil associated with the movement and/or cutting of the block feature. The area of B 12 was defined as underneath and south of the large ashlar-like block. The soil of B 12 is the same stratum as B-11, however the former is located just south of the latter. After completing the pass, a number of the blocks were better defined. The soil above the L-shaped block was removed and this block seemed to have the form of a basin. The interior surface was extremely rough and it does not appear finished. The basket also revealed that the loose soil continued underneath the ashlar-like block. All of this soil was removed and the opening connected to the undercut area of B-11. At this point, it is unclear why there is a hole underneath the ashlar-like block. Soil was also removed underneath the southwest side of the ashlar blck. This area as well as a few other places continued to show a cement lining connecting the ashlar-like block with the underlying course of blocks. At the end of B-12 photographs were taken of the area.
