Notes:   Pass to remove the dark layer of fill first revealed at the close of basket 41. We removed this fill in the hopes of finding evidence for a foundation trench for W 297. This basket revealed little pottery and no other small finds. We closed this basket when we came across a change in soil, yet revealed no evidence for a foundation trench for W 297. At the close of this basket we had also partially revealed one of the sub foundation blocks for W 297.
