Stratum:   Martyr removal, very light, yellowish brown, weakly cemented, 35% inclusions, moderatlye sorted, pebbles and cobbles
Notes:   Removal of martyr left in NB 985 B 13. This martyr was left because the excavators thought that this martyr was a mix of fill from their baskets 9, 11, and 13; howecer, removal of this martyr has shown that any mix in this fill was removed during the excavation of the pit west of the diamond tile pool (NB 986 B 30). This basket revealed very little pottery and no other finds. Now that we know this area south of the pit is a single layer, we can excavate it as one unit.
