Stratum:   Fill, very light, yellowish brown, weakly cemented, 35% inclusions, moderately sorted, pebbles and cobbles
Notes:   Removal of a layer of fill south of the pit west of the diamond tile pool and west of the diamond tile pool. This area has been previously excavated in notebook 985. We moved into this area in order to further understand the relationship between this area, the pit, the stone channel, and the diamond tile pool. We excavated a layer of fill that reached the edge of the diamond tile pool to the east and W 285 to the west. This fill revealed very little pottery, 1 loom weight, and a small fragment of iron. There was a noticeable amount of tile in this fill. We closed this basket when we came across several changes in strata which we will excavate as later baskets.
