Corinth Basket: NB986 B8 P30
Collection:   Corinth
Type:   Basket
Name:   NB986 B8 P30
Area:   Panaghia north
Category:   Basket/zembil
Notebook:   986
Context:   8
Page:   30
Date:   2007/04/23
Stratum:   Fill, very dark, reddish-brown, poorly cemented, 15% inclusions, moderately sorted, pebbles and cobbles
Notes:   Removal of the dark red layer revealed by basket 5. The basket was stopped when we discovered that the lighter (whiteish) soil first revealed by basket 5 passes under the dark red level removed in this basket. We uncovered a small amount of pottery as well as a fair amount of painted wall plaster. During the excavation of this basket burials 2007-1 and 2007-2 were lifted and so we can now extend our trench further to the north and to the west.
