Stratum:   ~10% pottery; no bone or tiles; some small roots
Description:   Top slope of the context is uneven. The soil color is dark greyish brown. The soil compaction is soft. The soil is moderately sorted. It is silt.
Notes:   There was a large chunk of soil left atop the structure (126) that has slowly been revealed over the course of excavating Contexts 85, 89, 106, and 114. This chunk was seemingly overlaid by the clayey deposit, and so underlies 89; but, consisting of silt and therefore distinct from the contexts we've been excavating in the southern section of this room, this soil has remained atop the emerging wall structure. We excavated this soilt today. There was some pottery (~10%) and a single piece of glass. We closed this context once we hit courses of the wall.
