Stratum:   5% tile; 15% stone: 5% medium pebbles, 10% coarse pebbles
Description:   The soil color is dark reddish black. The soil compaction is firm. The soil is moderately sorted. It is silty clay.
Notes:   -124 is harder and more reddish than 117 and 119, with fewer larger inclusions than 119; 124 is harder and more reddish than 121.
-Excavation of what was thought to be floor surface level throughout most of trench, but may be compact fill deposit above floor surface. Excavation of context started on E. side where possible floor surface had been revealed along wall 50 and uderneath context 119 (debris deposit).
-Earth is much more compact than debris deposit excavated in context 119 and is very different consistency, with smaller inclusions and more reddish in color.
-Earth underneath is harder and more compact in most places, with patches of looser, darker soil , with more stones and tiles in SE center and central-west portions of the trench. Exposed level does not seem to be preserved surface level.
